THE SECRET OF SUCCESS...
... in any endeavor is allowing your mind and body to work together for maximum efficiency. Your mind must be controlled and channeled into a powerful force. It sounds simple enough, but it rarely happens. We are often taught to be less than we really are, not how to tune into our natural potential. Our standard training and learning methods are hopelessly inadequate for most people.
Most people have created limitations and blocks to success in their minds. We live in 'comfort zones' and rarely try to reach our full potential. It's a sad waste. None of us are just plain average or ordinary. We are all extra-ordinary. We all have gifts and talents. But they are all too often hidden in the depths of our minds, and so are never exploited.
So what we need is to be in full control of our minds. This involves far more than a ‘pep-talk’,
or simple affirmations. Even extensive training and knowledge can be a waste of time
without proper subconscious conditioning.
The subconscious is that part of our mind that is ultimately 'in charge', so that's where we need to focus our attention. The subconscious controls our behavior and performance in response to past conditioning.
Hypnosis gives us access to our subconscious so that we can easily change its behavior. It doesn't have to be a fight! Those subconscious blocks to better performance can be easily
replaced with positive, constructive behavior. Hypnosis is the safest, fastest and surest (and in my opinion - the ONLY) method for doing this. Trying to change the subconscious through conscious will is generally a waste of time and effort.
We usually also teach self-hypnosis in these situations (click button to the menu bar to find out more). This can give you an extra boost in any situation, and keep you in the performance ‘zone’.
Imagine being completely confident and effective, and being in that winning zone of success whenever you choose. Why imagine? You can have this whenever you want it by simply
re-educating your subconscious through our hypnosis.

HYPNOSIS FOR CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM
No one needs to have the quality of their life reduced because of a lack of confidence or poor self esteem. Do you relate to any of the following problems?
· Shyness
· Stage Fright
· Freezing up
· Asking People Out on a Date
· Worried What Other People Think About You
· Not Asserting Yourself
· Afraid to Ask For What You Want
· Low Self Worth
· Not Living up to Your Potential
· Not Following Through
· Lack of Energy and Enthusiasm
· Self Sabotage
· Fears
· Avoidance
· Blocked
I could go on, but you get the point. If you answered 'yes' to any of the
above, hypnosis could be a wonderful thing for you.
These unnecessary weaknesses affect all of us to some degree, in our
personal or professional lives. We know we have the potential, yet are
crippled by these negative feelings.
As you know, these problems are usually irrational and imaginary. Often, our inner mind is just trying to protect us, in response to past experiences. This inner, subconscious mind, is irrational. That is why reasoning with it doesn't really have much effect. Also, because the subconscious is highly suggestible and has a tendency for habitual behavior, the more these negative feelings are experienced the more they are accepted as normal.
We are often taught to be less than we really are, not how to tune into our natural potential.
You now realize that the ingredients of the problem exist in the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND. So, obviously the solution lies in dealing with the subconscious. Makes sense, right?
This involves far more than a 'pep-talk', or simple affirmations. Fighting a subconscious problem in the conscious mind is often a waste of time! It is clear that the subconscious must be dealt with. It needs re-educating. The subconscious is in charge of your behavior, so if you use a method that doesn't deal with it you could be setting yourself up for another failure.
The safest, fastest and surest (and in my opinion - the ONLY) way to change the subconscious conditioning is with the aid of hypnosis. Hypnosis gives us access to the subconscious in a controlled, relaxed environment.
We usually also teach self-hypnosis in these situations. This can give you an extra boost in any situation, and keep you in the performance ‘zone’.
Imagine being completely confident, and being able to express yourself comfortably in ANY situation. Imagine looking in the mirror and feeling really good about yourself. Why imagine? You can have this confidence and self esteem whenever you want it by simply re-educating your subconscious through our hypnosis.

USING HYPNOSIS TO BOOST BRAIN-POWER
From grade school to university, students are taught to cram
knowledge into their minds. Hopefully this knowledge will seep
out when they take an exam. However, it rarely works that
way. It is a fact that we all have photographic memories.
But we need to learn how to process them effectively. The
subconscious has to be re-trained. Hypnosis is the ideal
(and in my opinion the ONLY) tool for this.
Also, talking about exams, many people freeze up in exams
and perform much worse than they should. The problem is
locked in the subconscious. Again, hypnosis may provide
an easy solution.
There is also the increasing problem with concentration
and motivation when learning. The drugs are not helping
the problem, and in fact seem to be creating worse issues.
Why make life hard for yourself, or for your children? It is easy
to have the subconscious working for you. In turn you can learn
speed reading, fast recall, focus, blocking distractions and so much more.
This works for people of ALL ages. It is time to upgrade our primitive way of learning.
Ask yourself, could improving any of the following benefit you?
· Memory
· Motivation
· Creativity
· Reading and Learning Speed
· Freezing up in Tests and Exams
· Concentration
· Time Management
· Stress
· Stage Fright
· Forgetfulness Under Pressure
· Efficiency and Enthusiasm
· Blocks to Success and Self Worth
· Confidence to Succeed
· Clear Thinking
The list could go on, and on. If you answered yes to any of the
above, hypnosis could be a boon to you. And help make that
journey easier and faster. Why make life hard on yourself?
It is probably MUCH easier than you think. It doesn't involve rigid military style discipline. It doesn't involve effort and cramming yourself with knowledge. It doesn't involve denial or austerity. However, it does require a commitment.
We are often taught to be less than we really are, not how to tune into our natural potential. Our standard training and learning methods are hopelessly inadequate for most people. Most people have created limitations and blocks to success in their minds.
So what we need is to be in full control of our minds. This involves far more than a 'pep-talk', or simple affirmations. The subconscious is that part of our mind that is ultimately 'in charge', so that's where we need to focus our attention. The subconscious controls our behavior and
performance in response to past conditioning.
Hypnosis gives us access to our subconscious so that
we can easily change its behavior, and boost our
abilities. And since the subconscious stores our long-
term memories, you can have access to all the things
you learn, when you need them! You can also learn to
read and learn much faster and more efficiently than you
do now - and retain the knowledge. You could do with
more time, right?
It doesn't have to be a fight! Those subconscious blocks
to better performance can be easily replaced with
positive, constructive behavior. Hypnosis is the safest,
fastest, surest (and in my opinion - the ONLY) method
for doing this. Trying to change the subconscious through
conscious will is generally a waste of time and effort.
We usually also teach self-hypnosis in these situations. This can give you an extra boost in any situation, and keep you in the performance ‘zone’. You can learn the advanced technique of 'eyes open' hypnosis and even study or take a class while in a hypnotic state. It doesn't get any better than that!
Imagine being focused whenever you choose, having a wonderful memory and recall, being able to read and study much faster, being organized and efficient, and also being confident in using your new abilities anytime. Why imagine? You can have these abilities whenever you want by simply re-educating your subconscious through our hypnosis.

THE MIRACLE OF MEDICAL HYPNOSIS
Well, actually it's not a miracle. It's perfectly natural and scientific. We are just not aware of how powerful the mind really is, or of the tremendous healing abilities it possesses. I would go as far as to say that medical hypnosis is the broadest and most versatile of all the healing tools available today.
Unfortunately, this tool cannot be dissected and analyzed by our standard scientific methods and so this wonderful gift has been pushed to one side, and more tangible tools have been given preference.
However, many skilled hypnotists, recognizing their art and science to be the ideal way to tap into the mind's unlimited potential, have been researching and exploiting this fascinating modality for many years. We can call this field 'Medical Hypnosis'. Medical Hypnosis has a very long history.
So what is Medical Hypnosis,
and what can it do for you?
Simply put, Medical Hypnosis is the use of hypnosis to assist physical healing. The American Medical Association has acknowledged that about 70% of illness starts in the mind. Some doctors estimate that figure should be at least 90%! This is known as psychosomatic illness. It can be caused through suggestion, or by mental stress and attitudes that weaken the body's delicate defense mechanisms.
Doesn't it seem obvious that if the mind can be the underlying factor for so much illness then it should also be able to heal that illness? Of course! I cannot begin to imagine why the health professions give so little attention to this obvious conclusion. Well, things are changing - slowly...
The field of psycho-neuro-immunology is the popular name given to research and therapy that uses the mind's latent healing abilities. It has been clearly shown that your thoughts and moods can cause changes in hormone and neurotransmitter levels (neurotransmitters are chemicals that communicate between your cells, controlling many of your body's processes). The brain and its chemicals interact with every other part of the body.
This knowledge is not new. Andrew Schalley and Roger Guillemin received the Nobel Prize in 1977 after showing how the brain uses neurotransmitters to 'give orders' to the body. Research at Michigan State University has demonstrated that a single cell can be controlled by how we think. Our state of mind plays a very important role in our body's susceptibility to illness and its ability to heal itself.
Since the body is controlled by the brain, and the brain is so easily influenced by the mind, it follows that we can influence our body through the mind. Hypnosis allows us access to our subconscious mind, and is therefore the best tool for this purpose. As our subconscious is ultimately 'in charge', hypnosis allows us to truly be in control of ourselves, with access to the unlimited potential of our minds. When this potential is used for healing the results can often seem miraculous. However, the results are perfectly natural.
Many scientific hypnosis demonstrations have baffled the minds of the audience. Warts can be made to vanish. Ice can create heat blisters. Bleeding from various pin pricks can be turned on and off at will. People walk on red hot coals without burning. Strength can be increased many times. These demonstrations are just to show the incredible potential we all have. Medical hypnosis uses these powerful and proven principles to enhance our healing abilities.
Medical Hypnosis has many favorable qualities. It is totally safe and non-invasive. There are no unpleasant side effects. It generally costs only a fraction of standard medical treatment. Also, it can safely complement other therapies, and often enhances the results. Often when I work with medical or naturopathic doctors, chiropractors etc. their patients show positive results only after I use Medical Hypnosis. This is because the mind has the ability to block treatments from working.
Here is a brief list of some of the more common conditions Medical Hypnosis has been used for:
Allergies Duodenal ulcer Pain
Asthma Eyesight Sexual problems
Bed wetting Hair loss Skin disorder
Blushing Headaches/Migraines Sports improvement
Body building Immune Strengthening Stammering
Breast enlargement Insomnia Twitching/Ticks
Childbirth Menstrual problems Warts
The list could go on for ever! If you have a problem that you think Medical Hypnosis might help with please do call me to discuss it. You already have tremendous healing power. My job is to help you utilize it. Some problems may need diagnosis or referral from your physician. Please click the 'Legal' button on the navigation bar for more details.
Because of the hypnotized subject's amazing ability to control pain, Medical Hypnosis can also be used to create analgesia or even complete anesthesia! Thousands of successful major surgeries have been performed without any anesthetic at all - just using hypnosis! There is a long history of this. Also, recovery periods after surgery or illness can be shortened. Sound too good to be true? Well, it is true - and scientifically proven.
I hope you now understand that hypnosis is THE way to get your subconscious to improve your healing abilities and strengthen your immune system. The results can be extremely fast and truly amazing. If you want to consider using Medical Hypnosis or need more information then please do give me a call. There's no pressure or obligation. If you want to schedule an initial meeting I'll demonstrate how your subconscious mind works, and how easily it can easily be changed with my hypnosis methods.

JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED
1. In 1821 Recamier performed the first modern recorded operation using hypnosis as the
sole anesthesia.
2. Dr. Parker, MD., of England is credited with over 200 painless operations in England
using hypnosis. His success earned him the nickname "Painless Parker."
3. Starting in 1846, Dr. James Esdaile performed over 2000 operations in Calcutta using
hypnosis as the sole means of anesthetic, 300 of them major. In those days the chances
of surviving even minor surgery were pretty slim. Hypnosis gave Dr. Esdaile a low
mortality rate and rapid post-operative recovery. Hypnosis would probably be used more
routinely in surgery today if not for the introduction of chloroform.
4. In 1841, in Manchester, England Professor James Braid first used the word "hypnotism",
which stems from the Greek word "Hypnos", meaning sleep.
5. Dr. Som N. Nayer performed brain surgery using hypnosis for anesthesia in Indianapolis,
1962. Hypnosis performed by Paul Brady.
6. The British Medical Association approved hypnosis in 1955. The American Medical
Association followed suit in 1958, acknowledging the therapeutic value of hypnosis.
7. Dr. Herbert Speigel, MD. (Clinical Professor of the Columbia College of Physicians and
surgeons) states: "Hypnosis is not a treatment; it is an idiom in which change of behavior
can be brought about."
8. Dr. Milton Kline, Ph.D., states in the June edition of Harpers Bazaar, "Hypnosis has been
able to cure people of smoking and over-eating when all else failed."
9. Dr. W.S. Kroger, states in the book, Mind Over Platter: "Hypnosis which bypasses the
critical nature of the conscious mind and utilizes the automatically of the subconscious
mind to make dieting a pleasant, as well as rewarding experience!"
10. William Hoffman, Executive Director of the American Clinical Society of Hypnosis (which
represent 4,100 professional holding doctoral degrees in medicine, dentistry…) stated in
the Chicago Sun Times: "It (hypnosis) can be very supportive for the things we hear most
about, such as weight control."
11. Dr. Herbert Speigel (retired Clinical Professor of the Columbia College of Physicians and
Surgeons) recently stated in an article entitled 'Pain Control and Hypnosis', featured in
the Chicago Sun Times: "Modern medicine puts such extreme emphasis on high
technology and drugs, that it often overlooks the oldest, most effective therapeutic
instrument that humans possess – the mind."
12. Dr. R.B. Stuart, states in the report 'Behavior Control and Overeating', that with hypnosis,
patients improved their social relationships, adopted the weight loss control regime and
stopped smoking.
This is just a brief modern history. The real history goes back thousands of years. I originally put this on the site to help some children with a school project. Hopefully you find it interesting too.

What is the subconscious mind?
For our purposes, the subconscious is the part of you that is ultimately in charge of your behavior. It is very suggestible and responds to past conditioning. The subconscious mind doesn't think - it simply does what it has been told to, good or bad. Regardless of how much effort and willpower you put into changing behavior, the subconscious will sabotage you if its conditioning disagrees with you. It just doesn't understand. It needs re-education! And that is just what we do here.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a safe, natural, altered state of awareness that allows hypnotic suggestion to accelerate the learning process. By re-educating your subconscious mind, hypnosis encourages you to take the necessary actions required to overcome your barriers to success.
Hypnosis is an adventure that can produce success by overcoming negative habits and limitations learned long ago. Since hypnosis works with the subconscious it is often the only method that makes sense in changing unwanted habits. If you use a method that doesn't deal with the subconscious you could be setting yourself up for another failure.

What is the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
These terms are used interchangeably nowadays. "You say tomato..." I prefer to use the term 'hypnosis' for several reasons. Firstly, it is the correct and legal term to use. 'Hypnotherapy' implies therapy, which most hypnotists are not licenced to do. I also like to consider what we do as motivational, self-improvement and educational. As opposed to just fixing problems with therapy. I prefer to lean towards the positive overtones.
When people describe themselves as a 'hypnotherapist' nowadays I consider it a potential red flag. A possible tell-tale sign of practicing beyond their limits and training. Or that they are not associated with any credible hypnosis organization, since they all frown upon the term 'hypnotherapist'.
Can you hypnotize me?
Yes, I can. EVERYONE can be hypnotized. However, I do need your cooperation. And incidentally, you are not at all new to hypnosis. You enter a natural state of hypnosis before going to sleep, waking up and many other times during the day. Click the picture to the left and see how well you can be hypnotized.
Can children by hypnotized?
Absolutely! Children of all ages make excellent hypnosis subjects. Hypnosis helps them avoid
so many of the potential problems and issues that children develop nowadays. It also gives
them a significant edge with school or athletic training. Their memory, focus, discipline,
confidence, motivation, self-control and so much more can be readily enhanced. For more
details click here.
Am I too smart and strong willed to be hypnotized?
Not at all. Smart people make the best subjects. But super intelligence is not at all necessary. Anyone with an IQ of 70+ can be easily hypnotized. Both strong and weak willed people make good subjects.
Am I aware of what is occurring during hypnosis?
Absolutely, you are in a heightened state of awareness, although extremely relaxed. You don't black out. Hollywood has 'hypnotized' us with the myth that hypnosis means someone takes over your mind. Baloney! It is now common knowledge that hypnosis increases your control. So you would never do anything against your will. In fact, the mere suggestion would shock you out of hypnosis immediately.
Fact: Hypnotized people are in control and can terminate the hypnotic state at any time.
Fact: A hypnotized person cannot be made to do anything against their will.
Fact: Hypnosis is as safe as falling asleep at night.
Fact: Hypnosis is unique, relaxing and fun!
Is hypnosis just relaxation?
A common misconception, even among professionals is that hypnosis is a state of relaxation. It is NOT. Relaxation and hypnosis are different, although they are often used together. You may have seen demonstrations where small people showed great feats of strength when in hypnosis, like lifting enormous weights. They are definitely not relaxed!
So don't pay for hypnosis only to get a simple state of relaxation. Hypnosis is so much more, and a skilled practitioner can show you this. A good hypnotist should be able to get you in a deep state of hypnosis in just a few short minutes. Don't be fooled by believing that unnecessarily long sessions necessarily make things work faster or better. Quite the contrary. The mind needs time to process the work, and if you give the subconscious too much to process it will likely reject everything.

I failed with other methods. Will I just fail again?
Unfortunately, many folks believe that because they have failed with other methods, they will fail again. With our hypnosis, nothing could be further from the truth. Most of our clients have tried every imaginable method before coming to our programs. They all started where you are today. They recognized as I hope you will, that they had to change the conditioning in their mind before they could be successful.
Properly and professionally applied hypnosis is the safest, most effective method for changing negative patterns into positive ones. That's why so many of our clients report "automatic," and "natural," and "effortless" results.
But I must emphasize PROPER use of hypnosis, because many popular techniques only give short term results, and some can even backfire. The unique and scientifically proven methods we use are known by only a few in this country, and are based on both European and American training. This really sets us apart in the field. But again, don't take our word for it – come and see what our clients have to say.

Are there any dangers with hypnosis?
A very important question. Hypnosis is generally safe, but a poorly qualified hypnotist can do harm, or more likely just cause you to waste your time and money. Unfortunately, most states (including Texas) do not require or provide licensing for hypnotists. So anyone can call themselves a hypnotist. Be smart and do your homework! To read about possible dangers of hypnosis click here.
What are you qualifications and experience?
I'm glad you asked this, because it shows you are serious. For your safety it is essential that your hypnotist be properly qualified. Unfortunately, most states (including Texas) do not require or provide licensing for hypnotists. So anyone can call themselves a hypnotist.
Despite professional appearances, many have become certified after just a few hours training, often without any competency testing. Also be aware that very few psychologists and other mental health professionals are trained, certified or experienced in hypnosis.
Mr. McCole has been in full time practice since 1985. All Hypnotists here have advanced training and are required to prove themselves to be of the highest standard during an internship at the center. Annual continuing education is required.
Andrew McCole received his initial certification in hypnotherapy, Hypnoanalysis and Medical Hypnosis in England with the Institute of Hypnosis as part of a three year, full time program. This program also included completion of 200 cases to the institutes high standards. He has more than 20 times the training of the average hypnotist in this country. All his credentials can be verified. He was the elected President of the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis, whose aim was to ensure quality training and high ethical standards in the field. Mr. McCole has also been Certified with the National Guild of Hypnotists, the American Board of Hypnotherapy, the American Board of Medical Hypnotherapy and the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association.
How long does it take?
That is an impossible question to answer here, because everyone is so unique. Our programs are customized to the individual. There are so many differences between the people we see, and the help they need, that we really need to make a personal assessment. This is why we offer a Free Hypnosis Phone Screening.
I am not aware of any other method as fast as hypnosis, but I strongly discourage the ‘quick-fix’, one or two session approach as it has such an appalling long term success rate and can only work in a very small percentage of cases. This is in bold because there are people that might try to mislead you on this. Let's be reasonable and use common sense. Years of conditioning cannot usually be broken in just one session. Sure it does happen occasionally, but I consider it totally unethical to suggest that it is the norm. It isn't. And those that get overnight results often lose the benefits just as quickly.
I consider the instant-fix theory to be irresponsible and misleading. It is better to take a little longer if necessary and do it right rather than have the problems return later, and possibly in a worse form. It is still much quicker than alternatives. Remember, if in doubt – ASK FOR PROOF!

What is the difference between
hypnosis and hypnotherapy?
These terms are used interchangably nowadays.

Click here to see how well you can be hypnotized.

Can children by hypnotized?
Absolutely! Children of all ages make excellent hypnosis subjects. Hypnosis helps them avoid
so many of the potential problems and issues that children develop nowadays. It also gives
them a significant edge with school or athletic training. Their memory, focus, discipline, confidence, motivation, self-control and so much more can be readily enhanced. For more details click here.

Am I too smart and strong
willed to be hypnotized?
Not at all. Smart people make the best subjects. But super intelligence is not at all necessary. Anyone with an IQ of 70+ can be easily hypnotized. Both strong and weak willed people make good subjects.

Am I aware of what is occurring
during hypnosis?
Absolutely, you are in a heightened state of awareness, although extremely relaxed. You don't black out. Hollywood has 'hypnotized' us with the myth that hypnosis means someone takes over your mind. Baloney! It is now common knowledge that hypnosis increases your control. So you would never do anything against your will. In fact, the mere suggestion would shock you out of hypnosis immediately.
Fact: Hypnotized people are in control and can terminate the hypnotic state at any time.
Fact: A hypnotized person cannot be made to do anything against their will.
Fact: Hypnosis is as safe as falling asleep.

Are there any dangers to hypnosis?
A very important question. Hypnosis is generally safe, but a poorly qualified hypnotist can do harm, or more likely just cause you to waste your time and money. Unfortunately, most states (including Texas) do not require or provide licensing for hypnotists. So anyone can call themselves a hypnotist. Be smart and do your homework! What are you qualifications
and experience?
